Preamble of Constitution
WE, THE PEOPLE OF INDIA, having solemnly resolved to constitute India into a SOVEREIGN SOCIALIST SECULAR DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC and to secure to all its citizens
JUSTICE, social, economic and political;
LIBERTY of thought, expression, belief, faith and worship;
EQUALITY of status and of opportunity; and to promote among them all
FRATERNITY assuring the dignity of the individual and the unity and integrity of the Nation;
IN OUR CONSTITUENT ASSEMBLY this 26th day of November, 1949, do HEREBY ADOPT, ENACT AND GIVE TO OURSELVES THIS CONSTITUTION.

- Social, Economic and Political Justice
- Equal Treatment of All
- Improvement in condition of Backward people
- Equal Political right
Liberty
- Licence to do what one likes with freedom with some limitations
Equality
- Absence of privileges
- No discrimination on any grounds
- Get equal Civil, Political and Economic rights
Fraternity
- To promote unity and integrity of the nation
- Integrity is introduced in 42nd Amendment of 1976
- Not only material betterment but overall development of citizen.

- Neither source of Power to Legislature nor a prohibition upon Power of Legislature
- Non Justicable, Provisions are not Enforceable
- Preamble can be amended without changing the Basic structure of it
- Has been amended in 1976 by adding few words mentioned above in 42nd Amendment
