- Acts a ex-officio chairman of Rajya Sabha
- Similar to that of Speaker of Lok Sabha
- Similarly, American VP acts as Chairman of Senate
- Acts as a President during vacancy due to Resignation or Death for maximum of 6 months
- In US, VP acts as a President for the completion of term
- While acting as President, VP doesn’t perform as a Chairman of Rajya Sabha
